Top 9 Halloween Pet Costumes

We have 2 Boxer dogs see picture, we love them dearly and have not put them in Halloween Dog Costumes. However, it does not stop us from looking at the Halloween pet costumes we see on Halloween.

This year we started doing some research on which Halloween dog costumes might be a personality fit for our Boxers. We were amazed at all the different dog costumes and we wanted to share our 9 favorite costumes.

Whether you are going to put your dog in a costume or not, if you love dogs, the dog costumes are great fun. Clink on the links or the picture to see a larger picture of the dog costume or just go browsing to look at the other Halloween Dog costumes.

Hope you enjoy...Mark, Gabe and Luke

PS At the bottom of this post are a few tips from the ASPCA for Halloween Pet Safety.

Wrap your little pooch up in this hot dog costume with ketchup and mustard with two buns and he'll be good enough to eat. You won't find him at a hot dog stand, though, those stands have too many "No Dogs Allowed" signs and he wouldn't want to get into trouble with the dog catcher.

Halloween Tips from the ASPCA:

Dress-up can be a big mess-up for some pets. Please don't put
your dog or cat in a costume UNLESS you know he or she loves it (yup, a
few pets are real hams!). For pets who prefer their “birthday suits,”
however, wearing a costume can cause undue stress.

  • If you do dress up your pet, make sure the costume isn't annoying
or unsafe. It should not constrict the animal's movement or hearing, or
impede his ability to breathe, bark or meow. Also try on costumes
before the big night. If your pet seems distressed, allergic or shows
abnormal behavior, consider letting him go au naturel or donning a
    festive bandana.
  • Take a closer look at your pet’s costume and make sure it does
not have small, dangling or easily chewed-off pieces that he could
choke on. Also, ill-fitting outfits can get twisted on external objects
or your pet, leading to injury.

Chihuahua Protects Toddler From Rattlesnake

This is an older story and is not about only Boxer dogs...but I do not care, I love stories like this one. Dogs really do have a sense about protecting children and-or their adult masters. This one is a tear jerker.

Dental Care for Dogs...A Must for Your Dog's Health

Dogs are like people, they need dental care.

Caring for dog's teeth is something that pet owners have to incorporate into their daily lives much like a dog walk.

Many dogs are reluctant to have their teeth brushed.

However, over time they tend to get quite use to it.

Clean your dog's teeth at least every other day and I try to do it everyday.
